Course Overview

ICAN Learn provides high-quality industry focused education for people wanting to become financial counsellors.

The Diploma of Financial Counselling is offered in a range of delivery modalities to meet the needs of students. Flexible options include:

DURATION Choose from between 6 to 24 months to complete the course.
DELIVERY Attend online classes or self-pace up to 11 of the 17 units.
CLASS TIMES Choose from a range of class times to suit student availability.
COURSE COMMENCEMENT Join one of the regular scheduled intakes or make an immediate start.

Fee Schedule & Census Dates

ICAN Learn schedules its fees according to units delivered in the relevant course and according to dates called Census Dates.
A census date marks the point at which enrolments are considered finalised. Up to this date, students may withdraw from a unit or course without incurring tuition fees or academic penalty.
After the census date, enrolments are formally recorded, and any withdrawals may result in a financial liability and/or academic consequences.
Fee schedule and census dates for each delivery modality are outlined in documents below.

Skills Recognition

Skills Recognition is a formal assessment process that measures the candidate’s skills and knowledge from previous study, training, work, or life experiences against the outcomes of the qualification in which they are enrolled. Skills may be recognised in the following ways

  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) – previous qualifications, prior and current work experience
  • Credit Transfer (CT) – for units with the same code gained in previous qualifications

Students can apply for skills recognition for the Diploma of Financial Counselling CHC51122 once enrolled in the course.
